Spring Cleaning For The Soul

April 3, 2012

I have taken a bit of a hiatus and realized that it has been more than 2 months since I last wrote a blog post…Too long for a wordy person such as myself. Writing things down for me have become my therapy…it has become a Healing Tool for me and gets out what is floating around in my head. It gets out the issues, fears, chatter and noise that can become so over whelming at times if it all just stays in my head. So, with this inspiration and a fresh word document open, I sat down to write out a new blog post….then cursor just blinked & blinked on the screen….no words were coming to me. The very topic I had intended on writing about seemed too big a mountain to climb just now… too much in my mind right now to settle into an inspirational post. So, I have gleaned this most appropriate blog post that fits what I most need to hear, see & do for myself at this time. This blog post is from just over 2 years ago, I wrote in on March 31, 2010. May this blog post be just as relevant to you as well. Enjoy.

Spring Cleaning For The Soul

We have just finished welcoming in the official start of Spring & celebrated the Spring Equinox here in the northern hemisphere. This is the season of new beginnings & rebirth. This got me thinking on how I have been applying the Spring Fever to my life & how I can incorporate more of this season’s newness to my life.

So… here’s my 2 cents on spring cleaning for the soul.

1. Clean out the dust bunnies from your Mind

Clear Thinking = Cleaning out old stale thoughts & old mental blocks that no longer serve your Highest Self

2. Open the Windows to your Eyes

Clear Seeing = Re-examining your life in a new light; what’s really working & what do you need to appreciate more right Now

3. Wash the grime from your Spirit

Clear Being = Cleansing your very Being to wash away the old & outdated “should’s” & “should not’s”

4. De-clutter the Heart to make room for the new

Clear Centered Heart = Letting the past go and make peace with it to open up to the new NOW

5. Untangle the ties that bind your Mind

Conscious Thinking = Responding in a manner that supports Your Highest Being as well as others

What Spring cleaning have you started?

Have you done a Spring Cleaning for your Soul yet?

Until next time… Make each day count!

Creating Space For New To Enter

July 21, 2010

There has been a common theme that many are feeling at this time…that feeling is Change. The very nature of Life is in a constant state of change and so many people know this Intellectually…it is in the Embracing the Reality of this concept that trips the masses up. (me included at times) This very idea got me thinking and reflecting on what it means to embrace change…In simple terms it means to Let Go and Allow the New to Enter into your Life.

So… here’s my 2 cents on creating space for the new to enter.

1. Disorganized home or office creates Disorganization in your thoughts & actions
Clean up your home & office environments & you’ll become more focused in all areas of your life

2. Cluttered Spaces creates a Barrier to allow new to enter into you space
Clear out the physical spaces to allow more room in mental & spiritual spaces as well

3. Holding on to Everything stops the Flow of Energy
Purging, Giving away & Throwing away items that you are no longer using or value helps to Attract More of what you Do Want

4. Piles of paperwork, laundry or unwanted items Limits your Vision
Finding a permanent home for the piles helps Open your Eyes to see the Possibilities & widens your Vision of where you want to go next

5. Cramped living spaces invites Tension to enter the space
Cleaning up the clutter in your home or office creates more Space for breathing and for a more relaxed Peace of Mind

6. Allowing Empty spaces to be found around your home or office Invites Opportunities
Clearing out the old and restoring the order in your home or office allows for more Good and new Opportunities to flow into your home or office

What do you need to clean up in your life?

Have you started to make space yet?

Until next time… Make each day count!

Be Change,
Nicole

A New Year & A Fresh Start

January 6, 2010

Happy New Year to everyone!

This is a time of renewal, reflections  and commitment to do better than the previous year by many. Often these resolutions are made in haste and no real thought has been put into what you are REALLY prepared to do in order to meet these new goals. This year I challenge you to push beyond the regular off handed resolutions: To lose weight, To quit smoking, To better myself….you get the point.

So… here’s my 2 cents on a new year a fresh start.

This Year Resolve To:

1. Re-Align with my intuition & trust MYSELF more
2. Commit to reading a book a month for Personal Growth (CD, Podcast…)
3. Set aside 30 minutes a day of undisturbed reflection time for Myself
4. Make a daily appointment to Check In with & Listen to my Heart
5. Organize my Thoughts & Keep only Thoughts that Uplift my Being
6. De-Clutter my Mind and throw out Old Beliefs & Tapes that no longer fit
7. Let Go of Limiting Beliefs of lack
8. Unleash your Creative Mind
9. Cultivate & Nature your DREAMS
10. Set Free your Soul and Live YOUR Life

This year IS YOUR YEAR!

What are you resolved to do THIS year?

Have you started your New Year yet?

Until next time… Make each day count!

Be A New Year All Year,

Cleaning Out The Cobwebs

October 30, 2009

Cobwebs

We all clean our homes from time to time and we usually do a thorough clean…to clean out the cobwebs so to speak. Well, our mind is no different; we need to just clean out the old limiting statements, beliefs & junk that we are just not willing to DRAG around any longer.  Alone time and a centered mind will help with this process…that’s it…you just do it by Doing it.

So… here’s my 2 cents on ways of cleaning out the cob webs.

1. Free your mind of all the noise…get quiet & get alone
2. Clear out the old “I should have…” tapes and messages
3. Clear out the old “I can’t do that” tapes and messages
4. Throw away old values that You no longer value – you get to re-evaluate and toss what isn’t working
5. Create new tapes you Want to play in your mind
6. Create a new attitude of Strong Self-Belief
7. Value the positive changes you Are making
8. Trips…Stumbles…Falls…ARE part of the plan…Just keep going forwards!
9. Surround your Self with positive people
10. Join & participate in groups or clubs that uphold your New values & beliefs
11. Drop acquaintances, friends and activities that are NOT in alignment with these new Values
12. Develop your own guidance markers…If it fits, keep it…If it no longer fits or sound right to you, drop it

What cob webs have you cleared lately?

How could this change your life?
