12 Lessons I Have Learned From Cats

Animals are truly in touch with who they are and make no apologies for this fact. I have several cats & they all have taught me many lessons over the years. I can honestly say that our cats are doing way more teaching for me than I ever could do for them. These are just a few of the many lessons this week.

So… here’s my 2 cents on 12 lessons I have learned from cats.

1. Cats are like Zen Masters…They are always in the present moment & enjoy these moments fully
2. Cats don’t pretend to be who they are not…they just are themselves
3. Cats have learned to rest when needed…play when the opportunity arises & eat when they are hungry
4. Cats have the ability to be independent most times…yet will “ask” for what they need as well
5. Cats enjoy basking in the sun…taking in this natural energy & resting & restoring themselves
6. Cats enjoy the moonlight…taking in the quietness of night & drinking in the night lights all around
7. Cats enjoy the harmony & rhythms around them & do what they are lead to do to be in sync with nature
8. Cats are cats & know this…they don’t question why they are here…they just live life fully
9. Cats are wise watchers of their environment & will patiently watch for signs…& then take action
10. Cats enjoy solitary time away from others & to refresh themselves
11. Cats appreciate the simply things in life & enjoy them fully
12. Cats know that stretching their body after resting is a very good thing

What lessons have cats or other animals taught you?

Have you looked at these lessons yet?

Until next time… Make each day count!

Nicole
