What Freedom Means To Me

There has been a common thread that has defined the last few weeks for me and this thread is called Freedom.
This got me to really take a look about my view point on Freedom and what it means to me. The most basic freedom is self expression; To be Who You Are Meant To Be by Doing. These past few weeks has given me an opportunity to become a witness of acts of Freedom or acts of Oppressing Freedom. To be Free yourself; you must first give up the notion of there being only One Right Way, yours. Freedom is the courage to do your own thing while letting others do theirs. Spirit lives In the Freedom of CHOICE….Choose well.

This week has inspired me to draw upon the wisdom of others who also believed in Freedom. (I gratefully acknowledge the quotes I have taken from various online sources, thank you.)

So… … here’s my 2 cents on what freedom means to me.

2. What you resist persists ~ Carl Jung

3. Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true. ~ Napoleon Hill

4. Happiness is found in doing, not merely possessing. ~ Napoleon Hill

5. There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge. ~ Napoleon Hill

6. Your big opportunity may be right where you are now. ~ Napoleon Hill

7. The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage. ~ Thucydides (Ancient Greek historian)

8. We are driven by five genetic needs: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun. ~ William Glasser

9. Any existence deprived of freedom is a kind of death. ~ Gen Michel Aoun

10. Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

11. Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better. ~ Albert Camus

12. Freedom lies in being bold. ~ Robert Frost

What do you call Freedom?

Have you defined what Freedom means to you?

Until next time… Make each day count!
