Rest, Relax & Restore

Sometimes there are times when the right thing to do is to stop and relax. Yup…that’s right…relax! Winter is fast approaching and now more than ever the body is requiring MORE rest & relaxation. So, this got me thinking on what is means to rest.

So… here’s my 2 cents on rest, relax and restoring yourself.

1. Make going to bed at a decent time to fully rest (hint…the same DAY that you woke up in)
2. Divide the WHOLE week into 15 – 30 minutes of chore doing times instead of packing it all into the weekend
3. Rest your mind…meditation is a great way to do this in 5 – 30 minutes a day
4. Relax with a good book…fiction, non-fiction or biography…the point is to simply relax
5. The more mini breaks you put into your day really does help you to focus more & actually get more done with less stress (Ahhh…)
6. Deep breathing & other breath work helps to calm the mind, body & spirit
7. Decide what 2 things that you don’t like or need & then drop them from your list of activities
8. Create a space for you to rejuvenate & pause…space to just BE
9. Give back to yourself…do something special & nice for yourself (something you’d do for a friend…a nice lunch out, flowers, a small gift…)
10. Restore you self with this time of rest & relaxation…gather this quiet time for yourself to give back to others with a full tank of gas restored energy

What 2 things can you do to restore yourself?

Have you dropped 1 activity that you don’t need in your life yet?

Until next time… Make each day count!

Be Restoring,
Nicole
